A skirmish between the Transjordan police and a caravan belonging to Beneskah in which one gendarme was killed, is described in the Arab paper, “Felestin,” which also discloses that a fortnight ago highwaymen held up the car of Peak Pasha but scurried away when they recognized the occupant of the car. The party that engaged the caravan was searching for Peak’s assailants.
