Haifa (Jan. 24)
Four Arabs were given varying prison terms, one was released and another had his case adjourned by the Haifa district court in cases growing out of the riots at Safed. Two Arabs were sentenced to six months for perjury, one to four months and one to seven days.
Sheik Radoun, who was charged with incitement at Haifa on August 27 was released, although the prosecution had contended that the Sheik had harangued a mob by brandishing a sword. The magistrate felt that the evidence gathered on October 13 alone was conflicting.
