A central board of control which will supervise the distribution of kosher meat among the Jews of New York will soon be organized, as the result of a meeting held on Monday of over a hundred rabbis at the Broadway Central Hotel. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Federation of Kosher Butchers and Thomas F. Dwyer, Commissioner of Public Markets.

Under the new plan, standard certificates would be issued by the central board to kosher butchers throughout the city, whereas until now local boards in various sections have been granting certificates of kashruth. The new plan was approved by Commissioner Dwyer and Homer G. Welsh, superintendent of the kosher food law enforcement division of the department, who also spoke.
