Jewish Scientist to Get Highest Soviet Distinction

The Soviet Central Executive Committee today decided to give the Order of the Red Banner, the highest in its gift, to the Jewish scientist, David Riazanov, whose sixtieth birthday will be celebrated this week throughout Russia as the leading Marxist technician.

On March 18 the Central Executive Committee is arranging a celebration for Riazanov under the chairmanship of Michael Kalenin at the Academy of Science. All government officials will participate.
