Club leaders and other representatives of the 30 Y.M.H.A.’s, Y.W.H.A.’s and Jewish Community Centers, with over 50,000 members and 1,000 clubs, all affiliated with the Metropolitan League of Jewish Community Associations, will attend the first conference of club leaders ever conducted by this league on Sunday evening, March 23, at the Educational Alliance. Authorities in the field of club work and education will address the club leaders, including Dr. Henry Fleischman, managing director of the Educational Alliance, who will act as chairman; Dr. Samson Benderly, director of the Bureau of Jewish Education, and Dr. Charles S. Bernheimer, of the Jewish Welfare Board, author of the book, “Boys’ Clubs.” Club leaders throughout the city are invited to attend this gathering, as well as all others interested in the welfare of youth.
