The official results of municipal elections throughout Roumania give the government party 2,181 mandates, Liberals 796, Hungarians 93, Jewish Nationalists 62, Communists 58, Social-Democrats 41, other parties, 63. Professor Cuza’s anti-Semitic party did not elect one representative.
The “Jewish ticket” in Bucharest received only 470 votes and failed to elect one representative. On the “Union-Liberal” ticket, however, the following Jews were elected: Horia Carp, Advocate Schaeffer, Dr. Weissberg, and Dr. Ettinger. Dr. Stein and Dr. Galimir were elected on the Liberal, and Dr. Solomon on the “National-Zarranist,” or government, ticket. The “Jewish ticket” won a great success in several smaller places in Old Roumania.
