A Jewish Communist, Hannah Millstein, 18, imprisoned since last September, died today in the Hadassah hospital where she had been taken in a dying condition from the prison. Since she had gone on a two weeks’ hunger strike she had been unwell and yesterday she refused to enter her cell, asking to be taken to the hospital. Her request was refused.
Morurners taking a wreath to the hospital were ordered to keep back by the police and in a subsequent dispute a policeman was injured and a number of the mourners were arrested.
