On the occasion of his completing twenty years of service as Rabbi for Temple Mishkan Tefila, the congregation has granted Rabbi H. H. Rubenovitz a year’s leave of absence with full salary. This will afford the Rabbi and his wife the opportunity to fulfill a long cherished wish to visit Palestine and to study conditions there.
Rabbi Rubenovitz came to Congregation Mishkan Tefila twenty years ago as a young man under thirty years of age. He was graduated from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and belongs to the Conservative School of Jewish Theology. During his ministry the congregation grew from a small organization numbering less than one hundred members to the rank of the largest Jewish congregation in New England with a membership of eight hundred.
