A charge that he was in “cowardly retreat” on the question of the anti-Semitic school prayers because he feared the intervention of the Reich government was hurled at Minister of Cults Frick today in the Thuringian Landtag when he declared he had never said that the prayers were directed against the Jews.

The Socialist deputies, opposing the National Socialist government of which Frick is a member, swore that they had heard him say that the prayers were directed against “Jews and others of foreign race who demoralize Germany” Finally Frick had to admit that the allegation was partially correct.
