Would Appeal to League if Britain Does Not Heed Demands

Watchful waiting and a demand on the British government to restore to 3,300 Jewish laborers their right to immigrate to Palestine war urged by Rabbi James G. Heller, chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Zionist Organization of America at a protest mass meeting held under the auspices of the Bureau of Jewish Education.

Rabbi Heller declared “let us be patient and if the British government does not pay heed to our demands then let us go to the League of Nations and plead to the people of the world for our cause”. A. H. Friedland, director of the Cleveland Bureau of Jewish Education, and Samuel Schmidt, editor of “Every Friday”, also spoke. A resolution of protest against British policy in Palestine was adopted.
