Name Special Committee to Prepare Palestine Observations of Mandates Commission

A special committee of four has been appointed by the League of Nations Mandates Commission to consider the definite questions that will be incorporated in the Commission’s observations on the Palestine question following its examination of the problem for submission to the Council of the League of Nations.

The committee consists of D. van Rees, the Dutch member, William Rappard, the Swiss member, Pierre Orts, the Belgian member and M. Merlin, the French member. This committee will act as an editorial committee to which each member of the Mandates Commission will submit a draft of the observations according to a fixed programme.

There will be no session of the Commission today but the editorial committee will meet.
