Establishment of a $75,000 fund for the opening of a Talmud Torah as a memorial to himself and his wife is provided for in the will of Izak Manilla of this city, offered for probate in Surrogate’s Court at White Plains. The will provides that two spare rooms be made available in the Talmud Torah for use by any indigent persons of the Jewish faith who may ask for lodging.
Mr. Manilla also bequeathes $500 to the Yonkers Hebrew Relief Association and $1,000 to the Jewish Consumptives’ Relief Association of Denver. Three nephews receive $1,000 each provided they marry “in strict accordance with the Jewish faith.”
The Talmud Torah fund becomes available at the death of Mrs. Manilla, who meanwhile uses the income.
