Poland Declines Request for Orthodox Kehillah in Vilna

The Polish government today declined the request of the Vilna Agudath Israel, orthodox Jewish organization, to permit the establishment of a separate orthodox Jewish community. The request followed the Agudath Israel’s fight against the appointment of Rabbi Rubenstein as chief rabbi of Vilna.
