A contribution of $100 was received yesterday by the Allied Jewish Campaign from Herman Bernstein, United States Minister Plenipotentiary to Albania. Mr. Bernstein’s gift came in a letter addressed to Jonah J. Goldstein, chairman of the executive council of the New York Allied Campaign.
Mr. Bernstein’s letter follows: “Dear Mr. Goldstein:
“I enclose herewith my check for $100 as a contribution to the Allied Jewish Campaign. I know how great the cause is and how dire the need, and I am confident that generous American Israel will respond nobly especially now that unity has been established.
“With best wishes,
(signed) “Herman Bernstein.”
