Carol Danila, notorious anti-Semitic agitator, who was arrested yesterday in Klausenberg as the culmination of a nation-wide hunt lasting more than three weeks, boasted in the course of his replies to the police cross-examination today that he was an interested spectator at the trial of Zelea Codreanu, anti-Semitic leader, who was last week acquitted of inciting to riot and murder. While Danila was in the Bucharest court the police were searching for him throughout the country. He also informed the police that the propaganda he was conducting was not aimed against the Jews but had for its purpose the spreading of culture among the peasants.
