Shinwell Heads British Coal Delegation to Scandinavia

Emanuel Shinwell, secretary of mines in the MacDonald cabinet, and the only Jewish member of the present labor government, has been named head of the British coal delegation which is leaving next week for a visit to Norway, Sweden and Denmark to study the British coal export market in those Scandinavian countries. Mr. Shinwell, who was also secretary of mines in the first Labor cabinet, was recently reappointed to the cabinet after a period of service as financial secretary to the War Office.
