A conflict that has arisen between the Moslem Supreme Council and the Indian Moslems here over the former’s appointment of a sheikh to take charge of the zawheih near the Wailing Wall has assumed a graver aspect than the dispute between the Jewish town ‘council of Jerusalem and the Ashkenazic beadle at the Wall, Noah Gladstone, whom the council desires to dismiss.

The Indian Moslems are accusing the sheikh of embezzlement and have had him arrested, although he is out on bail. The sheikh has retaliated by charging five Indian Moslems with a plot to murder him.
