Mt. Sinai Hospital spent $1,727,977 during 1929 and received $1,698,886, leaving a deficit of over $29,000, according to the annual report just made public. The report also shows that the record-breaking number of 207,900 visits were made to the hospital’s out-patient department, the average daily attendance at the clinics being 686. The cases handled by the hospital this year bring the total number handled since the institution was established in 1852 to 310,334.
The report also noted that plans for a new building have been completed and the foundations laid.
