Zionist Women to Pay Tribute to Late Mrs. Nathan Straus

Two thousand women Zionists of this city will gather at the Commodore Hotel, November 5, to pay tribute to the memory of the late Mrs. Nathan Straus, who was honorary vice-president of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, for many years.

Dr. David de Sola Pool, rabbi of the Spanish- Portugese Synagogue, will make an address on Mrs. Straus.

The meeting, which will be held under the auspices of the New York chapter of Hadassah, will be in the form of a tea to open the chapter’s activities. Miss Henrietta Szold, founder of Hadassah and former member of the Palestine Zionist Executive, is on her way to this country and will be a guest at the chapter’s gathering. Other guests of honor will be Sir Harry Glaster Armstrong, British Consul-General in New York; Lady Armstrong, Mrs. Felix M. Warburg, Mrs. Rebekah Kohut, Rabbi Louis I. Newman and Mrs. Newman, and the past presidents of the chapter, including Mrs. Miriam Zunser, Mrs. Israel Goldstein, Mrs. Samuel C. Lamport, Mrs. Harold Spielberg, Mrs. Emil Weinheim and Mrs. J. Caesar Guggenheimer.
