Ex-Kaiser Wilhelm from his exile in Doorn, Holland, is the financial angel of the National Socialists. This became known here yesterday. The former emperor has a huge fortune at his command and it is quite conceivable that the well-provided financial larder of the National Socialists is being kept full by the ex-Kaiser.
The above-mentioned report indicates that the former Kaiser’s son, August Wilhelm, reputed to be the cleverest of the ex-Kaiser’s children, has been the go-between for his father and the Hitlerites. August Wilhelm himself is a member of the National Socialists, having publicly announced his affiliation with the Hitlerites last June.
A number of other members of the former Prussian nobility are also openly supporting the Hitlerites. The former Crown Prince Wilhelm is a member of the party. Others of the Prussian aristocracy who have lent themselves to the campaign of the National Socialists are the former Duke of Coburg-Gotha, ex-Prince Schaumburg-Lippe and the former Princess Reuss. All of these are lending moral and financial support to Hitler.
In connection with August Wilhelm’s membership in the Nazis it is being recalled that after the Revolution he accepted the hospitality of a Jewish family.
