The Stimme and the Neue Welt, Austrian Zionist organs, today call upon the Jewish masses of Austria to participate in a great protest demonstration against the British labor government and to march to the grave of Theodor Herzl, founder of political Zionism, and swear to continue the fight for the ultimate victory of Zionism. Herzl’s grave is in Vienna.

Both papers see in the government’s statement of policy “a betrayal that has no example in history” and “a malicious attempt to throttle the Jewish National Home.” In the proposed legislative council the Austrian Zionist weeklies see the desire of England to cater to Arab wishes by granting the latter political and economic overlordship in Palestine.
