The Australian Zionist Federation today cabled James H. Scullin, Austrian premier, now in London for the Imperial Conference, asking him to convey to the British government the resolution of protest adopted last night by the Australian Zionists.
The resolution declares that “as loyal citizens of the British Empire we deeply deplore the changed attitude of the British government towards the establishment of the Jewish National Home in Palestine. We regard the government’s White Paper as a violation in letter and spirit of the Balfour Declaration and a breach of the repeated pledges made by successive British governments and endorsed by all British political parties.”
Huge mass meetings of protest are planned throughout the country for Sunday night.
