An appeal from 25,000 Jews of Argentine was addressed to the League of Nations today urging that body to take action to alter the situation brought about by Great Britain’s declaration of a “closed policy” in Palestine.
The committee of Argentine Jews declares that the White Paper is a negation of the Balfour Declaration and a violation of the Mandate obligation of the British government. “If we are denied the right of immigration and the right to purchase land, the Balfour Declaration is meaningless to the Jews,” said the protest.
