Mass celebrations and sport meetings in Tel Aviv throughout the week-end celebrated the jubilee birthday of Vladimir Jabotinsky, Revisionist Zionist leader. The festivities were organized by Eliahu Berlin and other Revisionists.

There were persistent rumors that the government had lifted the ban against Jabotinsky’s return to Palestine. These, however, were officially denied by a government statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
