An official reception was accorded to the Congress of Christian Students which met today in Braila. In spite of numerous Jewish protests against official association with this anti-Semitic organization, the police prefect of Braila officially greeted the Congress, saying that the citizens of the town were honored by the decision to hold the Congress there.

A letter was also read from Zelea Codreanu, anti-Semitic leader, who promised to attend tomorrow’s session. Greetings were also extended to the Congress by representatives of Polish, Czech and French students and by M. Musichescu, an architect, representing the League of Christian National Defense. He declared that all foreigners and undesirables “are only Jews,” making it clear to the representatives of the foreign students that the Congress aims only at fighting the Jews.
