Every Jewish house in the township of Jezov has been burned down in a big fire which broke out during the night. 30 Jewish families have been rendered completely homeless. The Jewish Community has sent an appeal for help to the Jews throughout Poland and abroad, stating that the victims of the fire have lost everything they possessed.

The local Catholic priest was prominent among the firefighters, trying hard to save some of the Jewish property, and he also persuaded many of the non-Jewish residents to organise relief for the Jewish victims.
