The new negotiations between the Government and the Jewish Agency which were due to begin tomorrow have been postponed for the present, the J.T.A. learns from a reliable source. The definite date of the negotiations, it is understood, will be fixed only when the Palestine Arab Executive replies to the British Government’s invitation to send a delegation to London. Pending the Arab Executive’s reply, the date and form of the negotiations cannot be definitely decided on because it is not known whether the proposed Round. Table Conference will materialise. The British Government has not yielded to the demand of the Palestine Arab Executive that the Round Table Conference should be held in Palestine, insisting that if the Conference takes place at all it must be in London.

The members of the Political Commission of the Jewish Agency, unaware till the last moment of the postponement of the date of the negotiations, have already assembled in London, Deputy Gruenbaum and Mr. Leo Motzkin Joining the London members of the Political Commission at the session held to-day.
