Deputy Rabbi Levin, of the Agudath Israel, Deputy Wyszlicki, and Senator Mendelson, Jewish members of the Government Party, have visited Colonel Beck, the Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, and submitted a memorandum pointing out the dangers of the proposed Calendar Reform to the Jewish population and urging the Polish Government to take a stand at the League of Nations against this proposal, which affects the religious and economic interests of millions of its citizens, by threatening to destroy the stability of their Sabbath.

Vice-Minister Beck assured thedeputation that the Polish Government will defend at Geneva the religious and economic interests of the Jewish population of Poland.
