League of Nations Mandates Commission Will Not Deal with Palestine Question Till Middle of Month.

The Palestine Mandate will not come up until June 15th. before the session of the Permanent Mandates Commission of the League of Nations which is opening here on Tuesday, the 9th. inst., the agenda of the session which has just been made public here shows.

The memorandum drawn up by Mr. Leonard Stein, the Honorary Counsel to the Jewish Agency, in reply to the Palestine White Paper of October 1930, has now been officially submitted to the Mandates Commission through the medium of the British Government, the J.T.A. representative learns. The document has been for a long time in the hands of the members of the Mandates Commission, having been circulated among them privately at the end of last year immediately on publication.

Dr. Drummond Shiels, the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies, and Sir Mark Young, the Chief Secretary to the Palestine Government, will be the accredited representatives of the British Government to the session of the Mandates Commission.
