Solomon Biber, a prominent publicist, for many years on the staff of the Yiddish daily “Moment” here, died to-day after a heart attack. Mr. Biber, who was 56 years of age, was born in Volhynia, where his father was a merchant. He studied as a mining engineer and for some time worked in the coal mines of the Donatz Basin. He came to Warsaw at the age of 19 as a correspondent for several Russian and Russo-Jewish periodicals. In 1908 he became night editor of “Unzer Leben”. and afterwards he joined the “Freind”, and then the “Moment”. He was a prominent member of the Jewish People’s Party (Folkists), and belonged to its Central Council.
