Ex-Deputy Farbstein, member of the Jewish Agency Executive, who was called upon by the Palestine Hebrew Teachers’ Union, together with Mr. Sokolov, the President of the Jewish Agency, and Mr. Emanuel Neuman, the American member of the Jewish Agency Executive, to come to Palestine in order to try to settle the conflict with the Palestine Executive of the Jewish Agency on account of the reduction of the Jewish Agency Education Budget, told the J.T.A. here to-day that he was opposed to the reduction of the budget, because, in his opinion, the Executive had no right to reduce the budget fixed by the Zionist Congress and approved by the Jewish Agency Council.

This conflicts with the statement made to the J.T.A. in New York by Mr. Emanuel Neuman (in the J.T.A. Bulletin of the 17th. inst.), that the cut had been decided on in full agreement between the Zionist and non-Zionist members of the Jewish Agency Executive.

Ex-Deputy Farbstein has already cabled to the Palestine Hebrew Teachers’ Union that he is leaving for Palestine in the middle of November, and promising to support them as far as possible.
