A resolution protesting against the scandalous scenes which took place to-day during the meeting of the Executive of the Jewish Community was adopted this evening at the meeting of the Central Council of the Agudah Israel Organisation, when Mr. Itche Meier Levin, the son-in-law of the Gerer Rebbe, was elected President of the Polish Agudah in succession to the late Deputy Kirschbraun. There were 70 members present at the meeting. The report of activities which was presented states that the Agudath Israel has in Poland 913 educational institutions, which are attended by 100,000 pupils, and that it will shortly open a seminary for Melamdim (Hebrew religion teachers).
