The intervention of the Turkish Government with the British Government with regard to the Moslem Congress was confirmed to-day to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in official Government circles. The reply given by the British Government, it is understood, was satisfactory to the Turkish Government.

The British Government adopts an attitude of detachment as regards the Moslem Congress. The Government understands that no contentious political questions will be discussed at that Congress, which will be confined to religious matters only. In these the Government is not inclined to intervene, insofar as there will be no danger of disturbing public peace in Palestine, which is a matter over which the Palestine Administration will, of course, watch.
