The new inquisition under which the Jews are suffering in Russia is more cruel than was the Inquisition in Spain, Mr. Ch. N. Bialik, the famous Hebrew poet who has just returned to Palestine after a tour of over eight months in Europe, declares in a letter which he has addressed to the Jewish press of the world, calling upon world Jewry to protest vigorously against the Russian inquisition.
Mr. Bialik and Mr. Mayer Dizengoff, the Mayor of Tel Aviv, have jointly appealed to Rabbi Dr. Stephen S. Wise, the Honorary President of the American Jewish Congress, to arrange protest meetings in America. A series of protest meetings will also be held in Palestine.
