Yesterday’s session of the congress of East European Minorities devoted itself to a discussion of the various churches, including the Jewish, and means of preserving their nationality.

Rabbi Nurok, of Latvia, one of the speakers at the session in his address denounced aggressive nationality, and aggressive nationalism.

The work of the Committee of Jewish Delegations was lauded by many of the speakers.

The Agudath Israel representatives were disappointed when the opposition of the German representatives prevented even an announcement of their motion to have the Congress record itself as being opposed to the prohibition of Schechita.
