Because of the heavily increasing appeal for medical care due to the present economic situation, Mount Zion Hospital, an agency of the Federation of Jewish Charities, has begun the erection of a large new wing to house its out-patient department.

The wing, to be built at a cost of many thousands, will house the various free clinics which are conducted as a part of the Mount Zion service.

Last year a total of 55,000 visits were made to the out-patient department and authorities say that present demands indicate a far heavier total this year.
