A number of Jews were injured in Sensburg, East Prussia, and the windows of Jewish houses shattered, by Nazis, following a row with Communists, declares the Daily Express today, in a report from its Berlin correspondent.
The outbreak started when a non-Jewish Communist, seeking escape from Nazis, fled to a Jewish store and escaped through a back door.
The Nazis pursued the Communist through the store and destroyed part of its contents. The Jewish storekeeper was compelled to close the premises.
The incident started an invasion of the Jewish quarter by one hundred and fifty Nazis accompanied by women, girls and children, who assaulted Jews on the street with the cries: “Perish Judaea!”
