University Gives Credits for Hebrew Knowledge

Dr. H. H. Gowen of the Oriental Science Department of the University of Washington, made known that while Hebrew is not taught at the University, credit is given to the Jewish students who have a knowledge of Hebrew.

Dr. Gowen explained that several Jewish University students, who are also students at the Seattle Talmud Torah, have taken examinations to test their knowledge of the Hebrew language and received University credits.
