The oldest Hebrew writer in Poland, Shimon Menachem Lasar, who began his Hebrew literary career forty-five years ago, died here today.
Lasar began as a contributor to the Hebrew Journal Haosif and subsequently became the editorial writer of the periodicals Hamagid and Hampizpah. He was also the editor of a Hebrew-German dictionary.
