The reopening of the school term was signalized here yesterday by clashes between school pupils and boycott agitators of the anti-Semitic National Democratic party, on Stokrzyska Street, where Jewish book shops are located.
The anti-Semitic boycott agitators distributed leaflets among the pupils calling up on them to buy school supplies from non-Jewish shops only and admonished them: “Remember the Jews murdered Waclawski, who fought for the Polish character of the University!”
The fight followed when many pupils ignored the agitation and proceded to purchase in the Jewish shops.
Police detachments had to be summoned to guard the vicinity.
The Waclawski mentioned in the agitation is Stanislas Waclawski, a Christian student who was killed during the anti-Semitic student fights in Vilna last November.
