Protests Discrimination in Tobacco Concessions

The Federation of Polish Jews of America has addressed to the Polish Ambassador in the United States a protest against alleged discrimination in the matter of tobacco concessions which has reduced the number of Jewish tobacco concessionaires from 800 to 33.

The Polish Federation asks that an investigation be conducted into the reports of discrimination and, if true, that the Polish Ambassador use his good offices toward “an immediate cessation of these municipal discriminations, so that the rights of these Polish citizens be restored.”

The Polish Embassy, replying to this communication, has asked for clippings of dispatches containing these allegations.
