The Paderborn court today sentenced to 15 years imprisonment, Kurt Meyer, who was found guilty of the premeditated murder of a maid servant in the home of his family.
The Nazi press has made much of the case and has labelled it an instance of ritual murder.
It is learned that the Meyer family has not been connected with the Jewish community for years.
