The cornerstone for the new building of the Palestine Foundation Fund here was laid with impressive ceremonies yesterday which were attended by representative officials of the country.
Under a clear sky, hundreds gathered to hear the addresses of Leib Jaffe, Berl Locker, Emanuel Neumann, Menachem M. Ussishkin and Ben Zwi.
A scroll signed by scores of Jewish leaders was deposited under the cornerstone.
Leib Jaffe presided. Messages of greeting were received from Baron Edmond de Rothschild, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Nahum Sokolow, Oscar Wasserman, Dr. Leo Motzkin and others.
