Warburg Honorary Chairman of Rothenberg Tribute

Felix M. Warburg has accepted the Honorary Chairmanship of the committee arranging a testimonial dinner in honor of Morris Rothenberg, President of the Zionist Organization of America, and leader in the major Jewish communal enterprises, according to an announcement by Nathan Straus, Jr., Chairman, who stated that the committee had decided to tender the tribute to Mr. Rothenberg on Sunday evening, December 4th at the Hotel Astor.

In addition to Mr. Warburg, other leaders in various Jewish endeavors have joined the testimonial committee to honor Mr. Rothenberg for his participation and leadership in such variegated enterprises as the movement for the rebuilding of the Jewish National Home in Palestine, relief for Eastern European Jewry, and the effort for the safeguarding of civic, political and economic rights of Jews abroad as well as in this country.

The Honorary Vice-Chairmen of the Committee include Dr. Cyrus Adler, President of the American Jewish Committee; Judge Edward A. Lazansky, Louis Lipsky, National Chairman of the American Palestine Campaign; Federal Judge Julian W. Mack, James Marshall, Bernard Semel and Dr. Stephen S. Wise. I. D. Morrison is Treasurer and Harry L. Glucksman, Secretary. The committee, now in process of organization, represents all fields of Jewish activity with which Mr. Rothenberg has been affiliated.

Morris Resnick was re-elected president of the Jewish Community Center of Binghamton at the annual meeting of the board of directors. Simon C. Rosenthal is again honorary president. Four new directors elected to fill vacancies were, Mrs. Minnie Davis, Mrs. Caspar Freedman, Sidney Frankel and Myer Cohn.
