Funeral services were held on Sunday at Congregation Sons of Israel for Nehemia Gitelson, who succumbed at the age of seventy-nine.

Mr. Gitelson, a native of Poland, came to the United States in 1890, engaging in the cotton textile business. He was deeply versed in Talmudic Law and known as a Hebrew scholar. He was a collector of rare Hebrew works and built up a library of note.

A widow, a son and two daughters survive.
