Premier Juliu Maniu has promised to introduce in the current session of Parliament a measure which would reform the citizenship law in accordance with the Paris Convention.

The pledge was given by the Premier to the Jewish Parliamentary Club whose members were received in audience with him.

Premier Maniu declined, however, to restore the minority under-secretariat, on the ground that equal citizenship rights are more important than a distinction between majority and minority citizens.
