Official denial was made today by the Executive of the Jewish Agency in a statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that it has received a copy of the bill with regard to the projected Legislative Council with a request for its observations.
The Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns from an authoritative source, moreover, that the government has not even prepared such a bill as yet.
The report that Dr. Judah L. Magnes, Chancellor of the Hebrew University; Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, member of the Jewish Agency Executive, and Moishe Blau, leader of the Agudath Israel, are being considered as the Jewish representatives in the Legislative Council, were also termed baseless.
