Thirty-four students arrested in connection with the demonstrations in Warsaw following a church memorial service for Jan Grotkowski, were placed on trial here yesterday.
Twenty-four were acquitted, seven sentenced to two months imprisonment and three were given the alternative of paying a fine of 2000 zlotys, or spending two months in prison.
