Morris Rothenberg, President of the Zionist Organization of America, and Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, will be the principal speaker at a large mass meeting and Zionist demonstration to be held tonight at the Hebrew Institute of University Heights, according to an announcement made by Max J. Schneider, Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Zionist Organization for the Bronx.
The presence of Mr. Rothenberg, one of the most distinguished figures in the Zionist movement, is expected to bring out an unusual attendance. This will also give the Zionists of the Bronx an opportunity to join in the tribute that was tendered to Mr. Rothenberg at a dinner at the Hotel Astor on Sunday, December 4th, when leaders of all shades of opinion in the Jewish community joined in praising Mr. Rothenberg’s services to the Jewish people here and abroad.
Other speakers will include Max J. Schneider, who is President of the Hebrew Institute, and I. J. Shafer, President of Zionist District 39, under whose auspices the meeting has been organized.
