The Polish student Zamorski was placed under arrest today by the police as he was leaving the hospital where he had been confined since November 29th suffering from what was at first believed to be wounds received when Jews allegedly fired upon the funeral thong returning from services for Jan Grotkowski, Polish student who succumbed to wounds received after a drunken brawl when he and five companions attacked Jewish passersby.
Serious excesses against the Jews followed the agitation resulting from the alleged report that the funeral throng had been fired upon by Jews. On December 3rd Zamorski, who was lieved to be in a critical condition, confessed, that he had not been fired upon but that he was injured when a hand grenade which he himself carried exploded prematurely. Zamorski confessed only after an operation performed on him disclosed no signs of bullets but fragments of the exploded bomb.
